# Labor Advanced

### Overview

This page goes deeper than the main Labor page. Here, you can see position-level spending, track labor costs and revenue month by month, and follow hourly wage trends. Year-over-year comparisons are included throughout.

### Labor Spend

This card displays your total labor spend based on the filters you’ve set. It’s a simple total, not a year-to-date or comparison number. Use it as your main "what has labor cost so far" figure before looking at more detailed breakdowns below.

### Labor Spend Year to Date

This section compares your labor spend so far this year with the same point last year. The current-year number always covers January 1 through today and does not change if you adjust the Season filter. This gives you a steady reference point to see if you’re ahead of or behind last year’s pace.

### Labor % of Booked Revenue YTD

This section shows labor spend as a percentage of revenue, year to date, compared with the same ratio at this point last year. It gives you a quick way to see if labor costs are high or low compared to revenue so far, and how that compares to last year. You can look at monthly trends further down the page.

### Labor Spend by Position

This chart breaks down labor spend by position, such as Lifeguard, Team Lead, Guest Services, Install, Takedown, Training, Security, Manager, and others. Each role shows a bar for the current season and one for the prior season, side by side. This helps you spot which positions drive the most cost and see if any role’s spending has grown more than last season.

### Labor Spend and Revenue Over the Season

This chart displays monthly revenue and labor spend side by side throughout the season. The revenue series may still be labeled "Recognized Revenue" on screen, but the numbers reflect your current revenue totals. Use this chart to see if labor costs are keeping pace with revenue each month. It’s a quick way to check labor efficiency and spot any months where labor costs outpaced or lagged behind revenue.

### Labor Spend So Far

This chart tracks your running labor spend for the year, building up day by day across the season. It overlays lines for the current and prior seasons, so you can compare pacing at any point in the calendar. Check this alongside revenue pacing elsewhere in the report, since labor spend that outpaces revenue is an early warning for cost control.

### Labor Spend by Month

This chart shows labor spend by month, with the current season next to the prior season, but without breaking it down by position. Use this when you just want a simple month-over-month labor cost comparison.

### Average Hourly Wage Year to Date

This card displays your average hourly wage paid so far this year, calculated as total labor spend divided by hours worked, year to date. It helps you track wage inflation directly. If the average hourly wage is rising, it’s a clear sign of cost inflation. You can compare this with the labor-to-revenue ratio cards on this page.
